Moreno attributes his success to properly permitting his business through the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department, ensuring that the food he serves is safe.

In a related effort to maintain food safety standards, county officials report that, in the past three months, authorities seized 7,850 pounds of unsafe meat from vendors who had not obtained permits.
