Maricopa County Delivers Meals for Senior Safety

Virginia Boettcher, a 101-year-old resident of Maricopa County, Arizona, lives independently with help from the county's Senior Adult Living Program. Because Virginia uses oxygen therapy, she is at risk when cooking. To ensure her safety, the county provides her with home-delivered meals.

In fiscal year 2025, Maricopa County delivered more than 18,000 meals to 3,241 seniors. The program is designed to help older residents receive nutritious meals while remaining safe at home.
