The City of Phoenix, in collaboration with UMOM New Day Centers, has announced the opening of nearly 100 new shelter beds aimed at helping families experiencing homelessness. This project involved the conversion of former administrative offices into 20 shelter units, which together provide a total of 96 beds. The initiative is designed to address the significant shortage of family shelter capacity in Maricopa County.
