The City of Phoenix, Arizona, in collaboration with UMOM New Day Centers, has announced the opening of nearly 100 new shelter beds aimed at supporting families experiencing homelessness. This initiative involved transforming former administrative offices into 20 shelter units, providing a total of 96 beds. The new shelter capacity is intended to help fill a critical need for family shelters in Maricopa County.
