Eric Burton Joins Ventura Family YMCA Board

Eric Burton has been named one of the newest board members at Ventura Family YMCA in Bakersfield, CA. Burton, who served 35 years with the City of Ventura before retiring, brings nearly 45 years of experience as a recreation professional. He began his career at the Springfield YMCA where he learned to organize, plan, implement, and assess programs for youth, adults, and seniors.

Burton, originally from Ohio and a Buckeye fan, is married to his college sweetheart of 37 years and is a father of two with three grandchildren. In his free time, he plays pickleball and golf, works out daily, and even considers himself a reluctant runner. He expressed his commitment to give back to the community through his role with the Ventura Family YMCA.
