Maricopa County invests in Alta Vista Ranch affordable housing
PHOENIX — Maricopa County, Arizona, is investing in affordable housing. In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona, Chair Kate Brophy McGee celebrated alongside 25 families for the official neighborhood homecoming at Alta Vista Ranch.
With support from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, this new Habitat for Humanity community will bring 25 energy-efficient homes to Phoenix families who are working hard to build a stable future. Through Habitat’s model, homeowners help build their homes, contribute 400 hours of sweat equity, and purchase them with an affordable, no-interest mortgage.
Projects like Alta Vista are possible thanks to strong partnerships and the County’s continued commitment to expanding housing opportunities. The Board has invested $118 million in ARPA funding to support affordable housing across Maricopa County.
"Because when families have a safe, affordable place to call home, our entire community grows stronger," the post says.
