Maricopa Officials Urge Safety Precautions for Memorial Day

Maricopa County authorities reminded the public to take safety precautions during Memorial Day weekend visits to local recreational areas. Maricopa County leaders worked with the Sheriff's Office and the Parks Department to advise visitors to wear life jackets, stay hydrated, and avoid hiking alone. Officials noted that nearly 1.2 million people have visited Lake Pleasant since July. These steps are recommended to help prevent accidents and ensure a safe experience at lakes and trails.
