Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, is observing National Stormwater Day on November 15. This day is aimed at raising awareness about stormwater pollution and emphasizes the importance of protecting water resources.

According to the county, approximately 27 acres of land are developed each day in Wake County, which can negatively impact water quality if not managed properly.

To help protect local waterways, residents are encouraged to take several actions, including:

- Reducing hard surfaces on their properties.

- Using native plants to enhance drainage.

- Properly disposing of chemicals and waste.

- Reporting any pollution they observe.
